SMALL BUSINESS HEROES EXHIBITION – THE RETAILERS

The Small Business Heroes Exhibition is a colourful display of photographic images and inspiring stories of Victorian business owners thriving, succeeding and innovating in the challenging economic times.

Small business retailers represent over 96% of the total 46,000 retail businesses in Victoria. In recognition of the significant contribution the retail sector makes towards the Victorian economy, the theme for the 2011 exhibition is ‘The Retailers’.

This exciting and free exhibition is a feature event of Victoria’s Small Business Festival. The Small Business Heroes Exhibition – The Retailers celebrates the innovation and diversity shown by Victorian retailers from across the State.


Visitors to the exhibition will be inspired by the creativity and innovation shown and shared by the different ‘retail heroes’ and their business stories.

The candid images of each business owner, photographed in their retail workplace by high profile Melbourne photographer Les O’Rourke, show the passion, dedication and enthusiasm that led to their inclusion in the 2011 exhibition.
